Fun — We Asked AI To… No.3
We turned our day into a drama trailer
We saw AI stumble in Parts 1 and 2, so this time we ask it to do something it's good at.
The raw material is a thoroughly ordinary day.
(The run was in Korean; replies are translated.)
Round 1: the day the umbrella was lost
"A breathless struggle against a pile of laundry" — really?
You wouldn't think a single umbrella warranted this much suspense, but that's exactly the joke.
Round 2: the day the kimchi was made
See that word "iyasu" in the last sentence? It doesn't exist. (In the Korean original it wrote 이야수 where it meant 이야기, "story.")
It looks like it was reaching for "story" and slipped. AI sometimes coins non-words like this.
And yet there's a reason this game is safe — we didn't ask it for a fact.
A question with a "right answer," like restaurants, is dangerous when it's wrong; but a game of expression has nothing to be wrong about.
The sense of what to ask AI to do and what not to starts from this difference.
Try it yourself
"Write my day like a drama-trailer narration. In five sentences or fewer. What I did today: ____, ____, ____"
Fill the blanks with three things you did today. The more trivial, the funnier. You can also swap in "like a 9 o'clock news anchor" or "like a historical-drama narration."
